“A boy about 10 years old, with multiple challenges, in a wheel chair came up to the pumpkin patch. Neither pumpkins nor pigs interested him, he just wanted to watch the Big Green Tractor. His aide wheeled him up to the pick up bench, and asked if he could touch the tire on the tractor. I said sure. He sat by the tire. Running his hand over it. Gazing up at the tractor. A thought came. I quietly asked Dan Holland if he could ride R/T on the wagon, he said yes. His aide checked with her leader. All agreed. Dan got the boy and his wheelchair up in front of the wagon, safely secured. Each R/T found the little boy with the biggest smile, mesmerized by that Big Green Tractor and riding through the pumpkin patch on the haywagon. A day he will Always remember.”

“At Roba’s I worked in the corn maze for most of the season. It was a great time getting to learn the whole maze and helping people who were lost find their way out. It may have been cold at times, but there was always fun to make me forget about the cold. My favorite memory was when I was borrowing a hippo shaped flashlight that laughed when it was turned on. Everyone I helped out that night called me “hippo”. I loved working at Roba’s and I’m excited to return next year!”

“I love working at Roba’s Tree Farm. It has been a great experience. I have only been working there two years and I am already sucked into the work. I love working at the animal center and the maze area. I have a lot of great memories up at Roba’s too. I remember one time my friend brought her son up to the farm and they had a great time. I showed them around, but he was really obsessed with the bunnies. I personally like the jumping pillow the best. That is really fun. I hope to keep working at Roba’s for a really long time. I hope everyone that goes to visit the farm has a great time. Enjoy!”

“I enjoyed working at Roba Family Farms because it gave me a chance to learn more about farms. Also the work environment was so family oriented that I felt I was an actual family member. The respect and courtesy of the employers was everything I had hoped for. The joy on all the children’s and parents faces was all the reward needed by having the opportunity to work for Roba Family Farms. Thank you Sue and John Roba.”
